Forging Ahead 2024

Forging Ahead 2024. An exciting project led by Shropshire Music Service and funded by Arts Council England for 2024. This is a multi-artform year-long project involving 3 primary schools in Broseley, Shropshire. The projects focus is on the area's Industrail Revolution and particularly the Coalport Ferry Disaster of 1799. Karen is the composer for 2 original songs for KS1/2

Tour to the Lake District sees the performance of two original choral works composed by Karen Kirkland. The performance, at the Victoria Hall in Grange-over-Sands was part of a tour to the area by Shropshire based Of One Accord choir.
